A STORY ABOUT BELONGING

For the Municipality of Inari, we created a municipality marketing film “The Journey Home” (”Matka Kotiin”)— designed to attract new residents and businesses by showcasing the unique combination of nature, lifestyle and opportunity the region offers.

Instead of traditional destination marketing, the film focuses on a deeper narrative: what it feels like to build a life somewhere meaningful. By highlighting real emotions, everyday moments and the connection between people and place, the story positions Inari not just as a place to visit, but as a place to stay, grow and belong.

CRAFTING A STORY OF BELONGING

We built the concept around a universal insight — the idea of returning, of finding where you truly belong. The narrative was crafted to resonate with both potential new residents and those already connected to the region, combining authenticity with a cinematic storytelling approach.

The process included concept development, scriptwriting and casting, ensuring the story felt real, relatable and rooted in the identity of Inari.

CREATE

FULL-SCALE PRODUCTION

Hydda was responsible for the full production of the film from start to finish. This included casting, production planning, and managing all on-location arrangements in demanding northern conditions.

The production covered filming, sound design, color grading, editing and final post-production. Every detail was carefully crafted to support the emotional tone of the story and to bring the landscape and people of Inari to life.
